There has been some confusion about our affiliation with Camp Lucky Bones and i2i Training.  Please note that AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport, Inc. is not partnering with that business, nor do we receive donations thru that business.  If you would like to donate money or items to AHeinz57, please go to our DONATE page or send donations directly to the Adel Vet Clinic (619 Greene Street, Adel, IA 50003) for vet care donations.

*If you have adopted a dog from AHeinz57, remember you are never alone with any behavior issues.  Just give us a call and we will be happy to help you help your dog. 

Puppy Nipping:  NEVER use your hands as toys!  When your puppy nips, give a firm "NO! or Eh Eh!" and then offer an appropriate chew toy.  

Separation Anxiety:  Offer appropriate toys that will keep you dog busy while you are away.  Fill a Kong with peanut butter and freeze it.  It will keep you dog very busy for longer periods of time.

Crate Training:  NEVER use the crate as a punishment!  Make the crate a happy place.  Leave the door open when you are home and give treats in the crate.  Practice using the crate.  Put your dog in the crate for short periods of time while you are home with a favorite toy.  Let him/her get used to the idea of you leaving the room and coming back.
