AHeinz57 Helps Homeless Dogs in Texas Affected by Harvey

AHeinz57 is taking a van full of supplies down to shelters in Texas and bringing as many dogs back as we can. If you would like to donate items you can drop them off at our building in Desoto or at Petsakes on Euclid or Bone-a-Patreat. They are in desperate need of wire crates, water bowls, food dishes, collars and leashes, bedding, cat litter, litter boxes, cat beds, paper towels. You can bring donations to the drop off locations or purchase them right there at the stores. We are also accepting donations for gas to get down and back. Thank you!

Best Buddies Friendship Walk

Join AHeinz57 Volunteers, Supporters, and Dog Alumni for the annual Best Buddies Friendship Walk on Saturday, May 6th! It will be a great morning filled with fun activities, a 1 mile walk around Western Gateway Park, free breakfast, coffee, and hot lunch provided by Guru BBQ.

Help Best Buddies celebrate their growing success in the community and bring more awareness to AHeinz57! Best Buddies is an organization working tirelessly to provide social opportunities to individuals with special needs through their friendship, leadership, and employment programs.

Not sure what to give your hard to buy for family member or friend? Consider us in your Christmas giving this year! Whether you choose a monetary gift or a gift in kind, giving to help those less fortunate is always the best way to give….and receive. Below are some simple giving ideas:

Donate Kuranda dog bed in someones name.
Hard to buy for? Visit our donate now page and give a monetary gift in honor of someone special.
Did you upgrade this year? Let us take your old items off your hands. We are in need of Ipads for our adoption events!
Help to pay off a surgical bill for a dog recently operated on. Occasionally the dogs we take in require major medical operations costing hundreds of dollars.
Donate “In Memory” of a loved one who has passed.
Start a neighborhood drive and go door to door to collect dog food, treats, or other items from our wishlist.
Get your office involved with a “giving tree” where employees pick items from our list that have been written on paper ornaments (or dog collars) and placed on a Christmas tree.
“Give” an item from our wishlist to fellow family members at Christmas and then deliver it as a group together. You’ll get to see directly where and how your items are being used.
Have an office or home party where each guest brings an item from our wish list.

Shutting Down an Iowa Puppy Mill (or so we thought)

Charles and 17 Other Dogs Rescued From Rural Iowa Home
