Willow fka Darla

Willow (fka Darla) is a very sweet 4-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer that currently weighs 60 pounds. She originally came to us as a stray in 2023 that had been running for months before a team of our volunteers and employees caught her using a live trap.

She was scared, confused, and didn't know how to trust, but with time, love, and consistency she learned that things and people weren't near as scary as she once believed. She still gets nervous around fast movements and loud noises, so older, calmer children would be ideal for her and a home with at least a 4 1/2-foot fence will be required. However, the best thing about Willow is seeing her be comfortable enough with people to get the zoomies and the wiggles.

Once Willow had gained enough confidence, she had been adopted shortly after arriving. However, Willow had been brought back to us because she did not get along with dogs, and later we found that she also did not do well with cats. Because of this, she would need to be an only pet in her future home.

This beautiful girl is looking for someone to be patient, love her and make her a member of the family. If you are interested in meeting/adopting Willow, please fill out an adoption application on our website.
