Cary is a sweet, loving girl who is learning that life can be pretty wonderful when you have people who care about you. She spent most of her life living outdoors alongside her brother, JD, and the two share a very special bond. They absolutely love playing together and would be thrilled to find a home together, but it is not required.
Because of her background, Cary can be a little unsure in new situations and looks to other dogs for comfort and confidence. For that reason, Cary must have another confident, friendly dog in her adoptive home to help her continue blossoming and feeling secure.
Cary is making great progress as she adjusts to indoor life. She's learning the routine of pottying outside and is becoming more comfortable with all the new experiences that come her way. Like JD, she is also learning to walk on a leash. While she's improving every day, a securely fenced yard is required to help keep her safe and provide a space where she feels comfortable and confident.
Cary seems to do well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around. Prior to adoption, she will need to meet all human and furry family members to ensure everyone is a good match. We have not had the opportunity to see how Cary interacts with children, and we do not have any information on how she does with cats.
This sweet girl has so much love to give and is looking for a patient family that will help her continue building confidence at her own pace. Watching Cary come out of her shell and learn to trust is incredibly rewarding, and once she knows she's safe, her gentle and affectionate personality shines through.
