Deva is a beautiful 3-year-old girl who came to us through no fault of her own. When she arrived at the rescue, she was pregnant and focused on what mattered most to her: raising her puppies. Now that her puppies are weaned and thriving, Deva is ready to find a loving home of her very own!
As a devoted mom, Deva was understandably protective of her puppies while caring for them in our Puppy Patrol building. She has also been protective of her personal space, but with time, patience, and kindness, she has made incredible progress. Deva is beginning to trust more volunteers and has even started giving her favorite people sweet hugs!
Deva previously lived with other dogs. We believe Taz is the father of her most recent litter, and Zeus was one of her puppies from a previous litter. Like all all of our dogs, Deva will need to meet any dogs and all household members before adoption. She may need a few meet-and-greets to feel comfortable, but once you've earned her trust, you'll discover a loving, goofy girl with so much affection to give.
When she's feeling happy and confident, Deva loves to run around outside, chase a ball, and shower her people with endless kisses. She keeps her room clean at the rescue and walks nicely on a leash, making her a wonderful companion for someone willing to give her the time she needs to settle in.
Deva is looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. In return, she'll reward you with loyalty, love, and plenty of laughs. If you are interested in meeting her, please fill out an application on our website!
