Hi, I'm Van!

Not long ago, I was wandering around all by myself, skinny, hungry, and really scared. Then AHeinz came along and helped me get safe, and things have been looking up ever since!

I'll admit I was pretty nervous at first, but I've come way out of my shell. Now I'm what my foster mom calls a velcro dog. I like to stick close, and my favorite thing in the whole world is snuggling up with her and my foster dog siblings. I love other dogs, and I'd be extra happy in a home with a playmate.

I'm good with kids (even really little ones) and men, too. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but once I'm comfortable I'm super friendly and outgoing.

My foster mom says I'm kind of the perfect puppy. I'm doing great with potty training, I walk nicely on a leash, I don't chew things I shouldn't, I hardly ever bark, and I'm not hyper. I tolerate my crate though it's not my favorite.

Nobody knows exactly how old I am, but I probably won't get much bigger judging by my small paws. I weigh about 18 pounds right now (I'm still putting on some weight), and I have a delicate, lean build and lots of spring in my step.

I'd love a home with a fenced yard so I can safely do zoomies and wrestle with my friends (though after my time on my own, I'm a big fan of being cozy indoors). I haven't met cats yet but I'm happy to see how it goes in a "cat test"!
